Finally some pictures
I just noticed that it's been about 6 months since my last post. I'll try to start posting pictures at least once a month. Andrew was 4 months old on Friday so we tried cereal for the first time today. He wasn't exactly sure what to do with it, but it seems like he'll get the hang of it. He did end up with more on his hand, face, and body than in his mouth. I'll post pictures soon, but I wanted to get a couple of recent photos up now.

Baby Brother
Today we had our 4D ultrasound. Ally was really excited about the idea of seeing Baby Brother, but she wasn't that impressed when she saw him on the monitor. He didn't seem to want to have his picture taken...he kept his hand over his face for almost the entire session. I drank some juice to try to wake him up, and it helped us to get a couple of sneak peeks at his face. Here are the only pictures that we really turned out:

Easter egg hunts
We practiced Easter egg hunts for about a month so that Ally would be the best hunter. Well, it really backfired because by the time Easter got here, she was sick of hunting eggs.
The last month has been a very busy month for us. We got rid of the pacifier (they went to see the paci fairy on balloons). Ally climbed out of her crib, so it was time for a big girl bed. She moved upstairs and now sleeps on her new trundle. The poor baby had croup and then pink eye one week later. She handled everything like a real trooper.
She has become even more independent recently and must do everything herself. She did finally decide that she likes to wear a bow in her hair which makes mommy very happy.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the last month!

Happy 90th Birthday to Grandma K!
We went to Fort Wayne on the weekend of March 7th to celebrate Great-Grandma Kampschmidt's 90th birthday. The trip was way too short, but we had a great time. Ally had a wonderful time playing with Buster. He was so sweet to let her hug and kiss all over him.
Grandma and Grandpa took her to the library. She had a great time playing there and checking out books. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip!

We love Makeup!
Well, I'm already slacking at the updates. We found out on February 13th that we're definitely having a boy! We're trilled to have a baby brother and an excuse for more shopping! We'll get to redo the nursery and buy all new clothes and blankets!
Ally has decided that she really likes makeup. She was missing for a few minutes the other day. I started calling for her and she wouldn't answer. I found her in my bathroom with my powder poured out in the floor and mascara all around her eye. I was impressed that she knew where to put it. We have to put on lipgloss everyday. And now everything is "Ally do it myself!"

She's finally starting to understand that baby brother is in my belly, but she's still not sure that she like the idea. We talk about the things that she's willing to share with him, and the things that he can't have (most things). I think that sharing mommy is definitely going to be the toughest part for her. We're hoping that we'll be pleasantly surprised with a smooth transition.

Weekend at Gigi and Pops
Mike was at drill all weekend so Ally and I had to make big plans for her birthday weekend. On Friday night, we went to Build-A-Bear to build a Panda Bear, but of course she changed her mind and we have yet another dog!!!
On Saturday morning, we went to stay for the rest of the weekend with my parents in their new house. I think that they were glad to have us, but they were also happy to see us go so they could get some work done. We spent most of the weekend baking and decorating cookies, strawberries, and cake balls with Granny and Aunt Shannon.

Ally loves my parent's new master closet. She calls it her "clubhouse". The picture below is her shutting me out of her clubhouse.

She's started to sing songs that she learns at school. She knows all of the words to "No more Monkey's Jumping on the Bed". It is hilarious to hear her do her alphabet because she really thinks that she's doing a great job, but the letters are all out of order. So cute! I bet that she'll have it figured out by next weekend.

My baby is 2 years old!
I can't believe how fast the time goes! Two years ago, Ally was a tiny baby screaming uncontrollably, and I was wondering what kind of monster I had created. It just took her a couple of days to figure things out. She was a wonderful baby and continues to brighten my life each and every day. We had her party last weekend. She had a great time with all of her family that came in town to celebrate with her.
